Heuristic play is the experience of discovering and stimulating the senses, through the interaction of different proposals of materials and shapes. This task was devised by Elionor Goldchmied, and intended as the continuation of the treasure basket game (panera dels tressors)
This game is based on systematic exploration where a wide variety of neutral (non-didactic) objects is freely manipulated and combined and the different possibilities are explored. Exploration consists of opening and closing, covering, uncovering, stacking, comparing, filling and emptying.
