Based on the popular and successful KIDFIX range from Britax Römer, the KIDFIX III S is the brand's most complete back-up lift in both safety and comfort. Equipped with the widest, most comfortable and ergonomic seat of the KIDFIX III M, it also has the fourth attachment point of the SecureGuard belt, the SICT side impact absorption system and the renewed XP-PAD pad.

New XP-PAD

Britax Römer has developed a new version of the XP-PAD, which covers the diagonal section of the belt and protects the child's neck and chest in the event of a collision or sudden braking.

According to tests carried out by the manufacturer in 2019, this Britax Römer patented shock absorption pad diverts up to 30% of the energy from the child's delicate neck and prevents cervical hyperflexion by reducing head movement. In addition, it provides comfortable padding around the edges of the seat belt.

The XP-PAD has been optimized to offer an easier installation, a better retraction of the seat belt, greater comfort for the child and a more modern design, maintaining the same safety behavior in the event of a frontal impact.

SecureGuard

SecureGuard helps protect your child's delicate abdominal area by adding an extra fourth anchor point to the 3-point seat belt. By keeping the ventral segment in an optimal position on the child's pelvic bones, SecureGuard helps reduce forces on the abdomen in the event of a frontal collision by up to 35% while allowing your child freedom of movement during the journey.

Advanced side impact protection

Britax Römer high-back lifts protect your child in three ways: the device's housing provides protection from head to hip, especially in the event of a side impact; the upper and lower guides ensure that the 3-point belt is positioned correctly on the shoulders and hips, and the padded headrest provides safety and comfort for the child's head and neck.

In addition, the SICT system offers superior protection to the child in the event of a side collision. It reduces the impact force by minimizing the distance between the vehicle and the seat, and it deforms to absorb energy before it reaches the child. To activate the protection, just adjust the SICT on the side of the chair that is closest to the door.

Wider and ergonomic seating area

The seat area is longer, has an improved shape and has a smooth front section to ensure a more comfortable and ergonomic leg position on long trips, even for taller children. In total, the seat area is approximately 20% larger than similar models.

Easy to adjust ergonomic headrest

The headrest, 12% wider than in other models in the KIDFIX range, has an ergonomic V-shaped design so that the child sleeps in the correct position. It can be adjusted easily and with one hand in the correct position, just above the child's shoulders, even when the child is already sitting in the chair.

V-shaped backrest

Designed to offer optimal support for children as they grow, the V-shaped backrest (8% wider internally than other models in the KIDFIX range) provides more room for your back and shoulders.

In addition, as it is tiltable, the backrest adjusts automatically to the angle of the car seat, providing a better fit and a comfortable position for the child.

Installation with Isofix or belt

The KIDFIX III S offers two installation options:

- Isofix and 3-point belt (see the list of homologated vehicles)

- 3-point vehicle belt (universal homologation)

Attention!!

In any case, the seat belt must be installed in front of the child, protecting and supporting the passenger, as well as the seat from behind.

The KIDFIX III S is based on the KIDFIX III M, which in the last car seat test of the German automobile club ADAC, which is also published by RACE, obtained the best score achieved by a lift with backrest of the group 2/3 ( or its equivalent in the R129 or i-Size regulations) since 2015, the year in which the test protocol changed, highlighting especially in safety.

Removable

It is easy for the car seat to get dirty: a drink may spill or the child may get dizzy. To do this, we have designed upholstery that can be easily removed and machine washed.
