All fabrics that come into contact with the child meet the requirements of the OEKO-TEX 100 Class 1 standard for children's products. This means the fabric is soft on baby's skin and safe if it enters their mouth. Therefore, it is not necessary to wash the swing before using it. The seat fabric is easy to install and remove. This is ideal if you need to wash it (all of our fabric seats are machine washable) or if you want to update the look of your swing with a new color or material. The fabric is 100% cotton.**
