The cap works by changing color, visually advising parents that the water temperature is rising and needs to be checked. Note that the cap is not a thermometer. Always double check the water temperature with your hand to make sure it is right for your baby's comfort and safety. When in doubt, use an approved thermometer to measure the temperature more accurately.
